Hello World!

Welcome to Apricot Press!

Named after the apricot, which derives its name from the Latin for ‘early-ripening fruit’, we are an online literary journal dedicated to publishing the new, fresh and exciting work of emerging writers.

We accept submissions of poetry, short stories, flash fiction, and creative non-fiction essays for each of our quarterly themes (announced on our website and social media). Learn more about how to submit to us on our submissions page.

We are an intersectional platform accepting work from writers of all backgrounds, and we are keen to publish as diversely as possible.

We hope that, together, we can create an inclusive and welcoming space in which to celebrate each other’s writing.

Find us on Twitter at @ApricotPress and on Instagram at @apricot.press.lit.
