Finding Me

By Regina Jade
Yesterday
I bent myself to your will.
Made myself small,
Kept myself contained.

Today
I went to a new place.
Tried new food,
Saw new sights,
Experienced new joys.

Isn’t it so strange
That in losing you
I have found me?
