Bright in the daygloom
By Adrian Harte
The egret is bright in daygloom strutting its flat field domain much more stridently than on my favourite album cover. Grubs and scurrying ghosts dot its keen sight lines, yellow feather fringed eyes like cue balls after black chalk shots nail every pot.
