Telephone Lines

By Ossian Houltzén
Pappa was a
painter.

He painted cities, landscapes &
boats.
Most of his paintings featured
telephone lines.

One day I asked him why.

I don’t know. I just like them—the old
telephone lines with white
porcelain insulators.
Contact-seeking,
perhaps.

Father was also a
boatbuilder.
