September Sunset
Rachel Turney
The bees lazily linger
on the hummingbird feeder,
as the apricot sunset
changes its hue.
The first flit of stars
appear right over the mountains.
The crackle of logs shifts
as they change.
My bones crackle too.
I am also in the midst of a
fire metamorphosis.
